I like the monochromatic color scheme you have going on with this picture- the warm tones in the background make the gold seem even richer. It's interesting that much of the leaf is out of focus. It looks almost like golden coins showering off at the end. They way it's cropped it awkward to me, though. Since you have most of it out of focus and it's really just the part very much at the top that is in focus, it seems like it's been cut off a lot at the top. I feel that if you had left more in focus at the bottom or even just a band of the area on top out of focus, it would draw the eye along your entire image instead of it just getting stuck at the top or bottom.
First of all: thank you so much for taking the time to tell me your opinion!
I had a vision in my head and I agree with much of what you said, I wanted originally to have it more diagonally through the frame but I didn't have enough hands to hold the light, camera and the leaf @_@ (excuses! XD), so that's mainly the reason why it's so awkwardly cropped. The other part is that it's more or less hanging from a kneaded eraser with a toothpick-fish pole (dear lord, I'm so good at explaining things.. XD) and that made the other end of the leaf look not as pretty ._. Sooo, yeah. Thanks tho! ^_^
